Using the Claris Emailer Lite 1.1v4 Updater

This software will update all previous versions of Claris Emailer Lite to version 1.1v4. All computers with 68000-family processors must use version 1.1v4 when using Open Transport 1.1.1. Earlier versions of Claris Emailer Lite, including 1.1v3, are incompatible with Open Transport when used with a 68000-family processor.

Computers with PowerPC microprocessors can use either Claris Emailer Lite 1.1v4 or 1.1v3 with Open Transport 1.1.1.

Claris Emailer (non Lite) and Open Transport

This updater will not update any version of Claris Emailer (non Lite), including trial versions. If you have Claris Emailer version 1.1v2, you can use the Claris Emailer 1.1v3 Updater application, also included in the Open Transport Extras folder. If you have another version, see the Claris Emailer Web page for more information,  at <http://www.claris.com/products/claris/emailer/emailer.html> If you don’t know of which version you are using, open your current Claris Emailer application and choose About Claris Emailer from the Apple menu.

Updating your software

Before using this updater, you should turn off your system extensions by holding down the Shift key as you restart your computer.

Follow these steps to use the updater:

1. Double-click the Updater icon to open it.
2. In the list that appears, locate the Claris Emailer application you wish to update, and click its name to select it.
3. Click Update.
4. A new, updated application will be created and placed in the same folder as the old application. The old application will be moved to the Trash.
5. Choose Quit from the File menu.
